Privacy Policy

Last updated August 23, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what Multitool collects, why, and how it's handled. It covers two kinds of people: you, as a Multitool account holder, and — separately, in its own section below — the clients and customers you interact with through Multitool's tools.

1. Information we collect from you

When you create and use a Multitool account, we collect:

  • Your name, email, and profile photo, from Google, Apple, or the email address you sign in with
  • Workspace data: your organization's name, settings, and everything you create in each tool
  • Billing information handled by Stripe — we receive your subscription status and plan, never your full card number
  • Basic usage data (pages visited, general device/browser info) via Vercel Web Analytics, which doesn't use cookies or track you across other sites
  • A small number of functional cookies: your signed-in session, a theme preference (light/dark), and your detected timezone

2. How we use it

We use this information to:

  • Provide, maintain, and secure the service
  • Process payments and manage your subscription
  • Respond to you if you contact us for support
  • Understand overall usage patterns to improve Multitool

We don't sell your personal information, ever.

3. Who we share it with

We share data only with the service providers Multitool is built on, and only as needed to run the product:

  • Supabase — our database, authentication, and hosting for your data
  • Stripe — payment processing and subscription management
  • Vercel — application hosting and privacy-friendly analytics
  • Google / Apple — sign-in, if you choose to use one of those options

We don't share your data with advertisers or data brokers. We may disclose information if required by law.

4. Data about your clients and customers

Several Multitool tools let you collect information about your own clients or customers — booking details, invoice recipients, form responses, loyalty program members, and similar. For that data, you are the one deciding what to collect and why; Multitool simply stores and processes it on your behalf, the way any software you use to run your business would. If someone wants their data removed from one of your Multitool tools, that request should go to you as the business they interacted with — we'll help you fulfill it on request.

5. Data retention

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your workspace or ask us to close your account, we delete the associated data from our production database. Some information may persist briefly in backups before it fully ages out.

6. Your rights and choices

You can access, correct, or export most of your data directly from the app. To request deletion of your account and its data, email us at hello@ryanvanbelkum.me.

7. Security

Multitool is built on Postgres row-level security — access to your data is enforced at the database layer, not just in application code. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable, industry-standard measures to protect your information.

8. Children's privacy

Multitool is a business tool and isn't directed at children. We don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13.

9. Where we operate

Multitool is a US-based service, built for US-based small businesses, and your data is stored and processed in the United States.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Multitool changes. We'll update the date at the top of this page when we do.
